ForgePO is business software for small manufacturers that combines purchase orders, vendor management, job pricing/costing, quotes, sales orders, inventory, and basic CRM in one place — built to replace juggling a spreadsheet, an MRP tool you're overpaying for, and a separate quoting process.
Small-to-mid manufacturers and job shops that buy raw materials, build a bill of materials, price finished goods (including labor and overhead), and sell to other businesses — especially anyone who wants purchase orders, pricing, and CRM in one tool instead of three.
Yes. ForgePO is multi-tenant — every company gets its own private account, and your purchase orders, quotes, customers, pricing, and inventory are never visible to any other company. The one shared space is the Community forum, which is opt-in and only ever shows your first name and company — never your business data.
Yes — every new account starts with sample data loaded so you can click around and see how things work before touching your real numbers. When you're ready, erase the sample data from Setup → Data (or during the first-login walkthrough) and start entering your own.
Prices are per company per month with unlimited users: Buy (Purchase Orders & Vendors) $49, Price (Pricing & Job Costing) $59, Sell (Sales & Quoting) $59, CRM add-on $29, or Complete (all four) $149. Pay annually and get two months free. Reports, portals, PDFs, email, and QuickBooks are included in each module — nothing is a paid add-on. Full details on the pricing section.
Yes — every new company gets 30 days of the full product (all four modules) free, no card required. When the trial ends the account becomes read-only rather than disappearing: you can still see everything and export your data, and activating a plan picks up exactly where you left off.
The first 15 companies to join lock in 30% off list price for as long as they stay subscribed — Complete for $104.30/mo, single modules from $34.30. It's our thank-you for joining while we're still early.
Never. Add everyone — shop floor, sales, your bookkeeper — at no extra cost. Roles and permissions control what each person can see.
Yes. Add or remove modules any time, switch between monthly and annual, or cancel — your data stays exportable regardless. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees.
Use "New here? Create an account" on the sign-in page. New companies are manually reviewed before they can sign in — you'll get an email as soon as yours is approved, usually quickly.
Click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page and enter your email. If it matches an account, you'll get a reset link by email (check spam if it doesn't show up in a few minutes).
Yes. An admin can invite teammates from Setup → Users — they're emailed a link to set their own password, so no password ever has to be shared. You can assign built-in roles (Admin, Sales, Production, Member) or define your own, and control exactly which pages/actions each role can touch from Setup → Users → Roles & permissions.
Admin has full access. Sales, Production, and Member are built-in starting points, and you can add custom roles too. Every role's page access and a few special permissions (send POs without approval, approve POs) are configurable per role from Setup → Users.
By default, non-admin users can only save a PO as a locked Draft. They click "Submit for approval," which emails every admin; an admin reviews and approves it from their dashboard or the PO itself, which unlocks the status and send options for the person who created it. You can grant a role permission to send POs directly (skipping approval) or approve POs from Setup → Users.
Yes. Sending a PO by email or portal link gives the vendor a page where they can view it and acknowledge it — opens and the acknowledgment are tracked with a timestamp, and acknowledging requires typing a name (a lightweight e-signature).
Landed cost is a line's unit cost plus its share of that PO's freight and any surcharge, split evenly per unit across the whole order. It's shown as its own column in the PO editor (never on the vendor-facing document) and, once you accept the vendor-price-sync prompt after saving a PO, it becomes the cost that feeds your BOMs and pricing calculator — while the raw vendor price is still what pre-fills the next reorder.
Yes — POs (and quotes) render as letterhead PDFs with your logo, company info, and line items, and can be downloaded or emailed directly from the editor.
It builds a price from your bill of materials (raw material cost per finished unit), labor time × your labor rate, and overhead (either a per-hour rate or a simple percentage), then applies your target margin. Overhead and target margin are configured under Setup.
Purchase cost is the vendor's quoted price — what prefills a reorder. Landed cost adds that PO's freight/surcharge share and is what actually feeds your BOM and pricing math, so a price change or a costly rush-shipment shows up in what you charge. See "What is landed cost" above for the full mechanics.
Yes — Price Lists let you set customer-specific pricing (a markup/discount or explicit overrides), and each customer record can be assigned a price list that quotes automatically apply.
Yes — the Pricing Health page flags products whose price hasn't kept up with current material/labor cost, so you can catch margin erosion before it costs you.
Yes — a quote sent by email or portal link gives the customer a page to accept or decline. Accepting requires typing their name (e-signature), and every view and action is timestamped and logged.
Only if you turn that on — Setup → Settings has an opt-in "Automatically create an order when a quote is marked Accepted" checkbox. It's off by default and, once on, covers every path a quote can be accepted through: the quote editor, a linked pipeline deal marked Won, and the customer portal.
Yes — the Quote editor's Customer information card has an editable shipping address (prefilled from the customer's saved address) with a one-click "reset to customer's address" link if you change your mind. The edited address also appears on the printed/emailed quote document.
Yes — set a purchase-to-sell conversion on a material (e.g. "1 case = 12 sheets") and the Inventory Count & Valuation sheet can display and accept counts in whichever unit you choose per line, converting automatically without changing the underlying value.
Yes — variation families let you manage size/color/option variants of a product together, with bulk edit across a whole family.
Yes — connect your QuickBooks Online account under Setup → QuickBooks, and push a completed sales order straight to a QuickBooks invoice from the order screen. Line-item detail (SKU and description) is preserved without mirroring your whole product catalog into QuickBooks.
For stores running WooCommerce with B2BKing, ForgePO can sync approved B2B customers and orders into its CRM — configured under Setup → Website Sync. This is an optional connector, not required to use the rest of ForgePO.
